Dear Central Family, Belated Happy Fourth of July! I hope that you enjoyed time with family and friends as you celebrated the freedom we have in our land and even more the freedom we have in Christ! We are truly a blessed people and we want to be sure that we don’t take that freedom for granted. This weekend is going to be a powerful time of worship and instruction as we continue our series Forgotten Virtues. We will be examining what Christ meant when He said, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God,” a simple but power-packed statement that has such relevance in our everyday lives. Pastor Anthony Gilmer will be teaching in the 9:30 Classic and the 11:00 Unplugged service. Pastor Jeremy Bell will be teaching on Saturday night and at both Modern Services on Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00. If you have plans on Sunday I would encourage you to bring your family out on Saturday night and experience Saturday nights at Central. I love this service and am so encouraged by how God is using this service as another option to help us connect with God. Thank you for all who attended our Annual Business Meeting! It was a great time of food and fellowship with the church family. We approved the budget and elected officers for 2013-14. Below is a list of those elected (scroll down). KIDS CAMP is coming up on July 22 to 26! We want to thank everyone who marched in yesterday’s Ewing Fourth of July parade to promote Kids Camp. We handed out all the candy and the Kids Camp flyers! Special thanks to Heather and Joe Redmond who coordinated Central’s participation in the parade. Just a few reminders about Kids Camp: ~Registration for Kids Camp is open! Each night we will be hosting a special guest speaker who will deal with an important area of training your kids to make a difference in the world we live.
