Dear Central Family,
What a beautiful week to enjoy what God has created! Loving this weather!
Last Sunday, was an encouraging time as our leaders met to examine the priorities that the elders have set for the next three years of ministry. I have attached a pdf of that roadmap and I hope that you will take the time to look at this and see why we are excited about the future. We will be discussing this more in detail in a series of messages in May, but for now, take some time to check out the attached, and you will be fully up to speed as to where we are going and how we are prayerfully seeking to get there.
I also want to let you know we made 2 special announcements regarding our Pastoral staff. This past fall, Jeremy Bell met with the elders to discuss his future ministry here at Central as his current appointment as Pastor of Worship and Student Ministries would be ending as of June 30 this year. Based on Jeremy’s passions and his gifts and also after meeting with the elders, I wanted to let you know that the elders are proposing that Jeremy Bell be appointed as Pastor of Worship and Mission. This position will be voted on by the congregation and would be effective July 1. As Pastor of Worship and Mission he will oversee not only our worship venues, but also our local and global mission outreach ministries.
Ever since taking on the Pastor of Worship position (first on an interim basis, and all this time along with the Student Ministries role), Jeremy has shown a passion to put together services that would reach our church family in a meaningful, memorable, and culturally relevant way. I have heard many comments about how weekly our services are impacting people’s lives, and I am excited as to how this will continue under Jeremy’s leadership as well as the energy he will bring to our local and global outreaches. He is a man of God who has a passion for God and to connect people with God and His mission.
With Jeremy stepping down from Pastor of Student Ministries, we are excited to be able to announce that the elders are recommending that the congregation appoint Bryan Bunagan as Pastor of Student Ministries. Bryan has served in our Student ministries for a number of years and is currently on part time staff as Director of Student Ministries. He is a recent graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University and has a passion to see students reached and disciple for the kingdom. He has been working side by side with Jeremy and the student leaders and we know that this will be a good transition for our students and leaders.
In order for these appointments to take place, we wanted to let you know of our planned schedule of meetings in preparation for a congregational vote

Finally, I hope you are going to be with us this Sunday! We will be finishing our series RESISTANCE on the life of Joseph, and we are going to examine the hardest lesson to learn as a follower of Christ. I know you will be encouraged and challenged whether you come and worship at the 9:30 or 11:00 Contemporary Services, where I will be preaching, or at the 9:30 Classic Service where Jared Alcántara will be preaching.
See you Sunday!
Pastor Gay
