Central's Pastoral E-Letter: February 25, 2011

cid:D82161E2-9250-4A8A-A029-A698FC70F82D@chn.comcast.net

This is going to be an awesome Sunday of WORSHIP, CELEBRATION, and THANKSGIVING at Central!

9:30:  Both the classic service and the contemporary services will be combined into an acoustic contemporary service in the Worship Center.  I will continue our series on CHAZOWN from Ephesians as we look at the SO WHAT? to all we have been learning.  We will also have the privilege of celebrating together those who are stepping forward to participate in believer’s baptism.  I can’t wait for you to hear the testimonies of those God has brought forward.  God is at work, and we are so excited to celebrate that this Sunday!

11:00:  We will worship in our contemporary service in the Worship Center.  We will rock the house and give praise to God for all he continues to do to show us: His grace, His power, and His love.  I will also be teaching on the theme of CHAZOWN from Ephesians.

At both services, we will be led in worship by John Redgrave from Greenville, South Carolina.   John is a worship leader at Brookwood Church in South Carolina and we are looking forward to how God will use him to lead us to the King this Sunday.

At the end of both services, you will be given a tool that will enable you to put all we have been learning into practice!  So I hope you will be with us, as it is going to be a powerful time to see God work!

In His Grace,

Pastor Gay

Dear Central Family,

I hope you will be with us this Sunday as we continue our series Chazown! Examining God’s Purpose for our Life from the Book of Ephesians.  I have been so encouraged as different members of the body have come up and shared with me their own Chazown journey and how God is leading them to consider and commit to His purpose for them for His Kingdom!  That is what we have been praying for.  I will be speaking in the contemporary services and Jared Alcántara will be preaching in the classic 9:30 service.  I hope you will be here.

We will be led by guest worship leader Mark Snyder.  Mark is originally from Pennsauken, NJ and now lives in Lansdale, PA with his wife Nicki and their two young boys.  Mark attended Central when he was a student at TCNJ and it will be fun to have him with us as he leads us to worship the Lord.

Following the 11:00 am worship service, we will have a very brief congregational meeting as we elect the remaining officers for this new year.  We will be selecting Overseeing Elders and filling some other positions.  So if you are a member, please plan to come to this brief meeting in the worship Center at 12:15 pm.

See you Sunday!

Prayer Request: Tomoo and Kaori Koike

Tomoo and Kaori Koike are World Impact Associates serving at Word of Life in Japan.  Below is an e-mail from Tomoo:

Kaori's mother, Keiko Wada went to be with the Lord this morning.  Finally, she is free from all her sickness and pain.  Kaori's brother and his wife and daughter were there with us.  We sang hymns and prayed.  It was beautiful moment and Kaori's brother was so impressed by the death of a saint.  We do have hope even when we face death.  They said they'd like to come to church for worship service tomorrow.  The funeral will be held in the same church on Monday.  Please pray that our relatives will hear the clear Gospel and understand and respond.  Please pray also for Kaori that she will receive comfort from God.

Dear Central Family,

What is your purpose in life?  What mission does God have for you?  What is GOD'S vision for your life?

It is so easy to get caught up in all the stuff of life and miss the big picture God has for us.  This Sunday we are beginning a new series that will address these questions as we begin a study of the New Testament letter of Ephesians.  I hope that you will be with us as I kick off this series this Sunday in the contemporary services and Jared Alcántara will do so in the classic service.  This is going to be an exciting series and I can't wait to see how God is going to speak to all of us.  See you Sunday morning, and get ready to dig into God's vision for your life.

In His Grace,

Richard Gay
