Dear Central, Though Kim and Lydia and I had a wonderful time on our trip to China, it is so good to be back at home! We missed worshipping with you all and look forward to being with you this weekend. We will continue our series on our core values entitled, “I Know He Is, But What Am I?” and I will be teaching in our Modern Services on Saturday night at 6 pm and on Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 am. Our Teaching Pastor Jared Alcántara will be teaching in the 9:30 Classic Service. We will be looking at the value of service and sacrifice and I am excited about the messages God has given to both of us to share with you. Please be in prayer for the women who will be on our Women’s Retreat this weekend, and the guys who are left home to keep order. Guys, I know you can handle it and I look forward to seeing you this weekend. I want to take time to say a couple of things about our finances. First, thank you for your faithful gifts that you give each week to this ministry. We are totally dependent on your sacrificial gifts to fund the vision that God has placed before us. Second, I want you to know that in recent weeks our weekly offerings have fallen short of our need and I would ask everyone to prayerfully consider what God would have you do and just do it. You can give either through our online giving at our website or through your offering at our weekend services. Thank you for considering the lives that are being changed every week in this ministry and stepping up and doing your part. Thank you for your faithfulness. Easter will soon be upon us and we wanted you to know that we are planning a special Good Friday Worship service on March 29 at 7 pm that will include worship in an unplugged acoustic style as well as a special observance of communion. So please plan to come and join us for this special time of worship, reflection and praise as you kick off your Easter weekend. Then we will start Easter with our Saturday night service at 6 pm and four additional worship services at 9:30 and 11:00 on Sunday morning. So as you can see there will be 6 different opportunities for you to choose from and to invite friends and family to come with you. We are excited about the fact that we are starting our new Unplugged worship service on Easter Sunday at 11:00 am. This service will be meeting in Central Hall (formerly Adult 1-3) which is being prepared for a special environment to connect you and your friends with God in worship. We have invite cards for all of our Easter services available in our Welcome Center, so take the plunge and invite someone to come along with you as it is going to be an Easter to remember! Finally, I want to let you know of two very special dates that I want you to mark on your calendar. The first is the weekend of April 6-7. Please plan to attend one of our worship services. I will be speaking in all five of the services and sharing the vision that the staff and Elders have been working on that we want to present to you the congregation that will guide us for the next few years. I am very excited about revealing this to you and I am asking everyone who is part of the Central family to come to one of these services. Second, I would ask you to mark down Sunday, April 28 as we will be meeting together as one body at The College of New Jersey for one worship service to celebrate the lives that have been changed and the vision that God has placed before us to see even greater impact in the future. We will conclude our time of worship with an all-church BBQ for the whole Central family. So keep your eyes open to more info but for now just mark down these dates. See you this weekend!
