Central's Pastoral E-Letter: August 24, 2012

Dear Central,

WOW!  This past Wednesday, we just finished an all day staff planning retreat, and are we pumped!  Wait till you see what plan God has led us to put together as a team based on our ministry priorities for this new ministry year that kicks off September 8!  Stay tuned!

WOW! This Sunday is  Commitment Sunday!  In both Modern Services we are going to challenge you to step out and take the plunge by showing your commitment to Christ by becoming baptized!  So just plan to come with an open heart to hear what God has to say to all of us as we finish our Summer Concert Series with the Church in Laodicea.  Read Revelation 3:14-22 to see how much Christ desires full commitment from all of us.  These are strong words from a loving Savior for all of us which I know will challenge us in many ways.  I will be teaching in the 9:30 and 11:00 Modern Services, and Jared will be back from vacation and teaching in the 9:30 Classic Service.  So if you are in town, come and be blessed!  Also, this Sunday is the last one in the Hot Potatoes Seminars, and this time, the topic is: “Homosexuality: Born this Way?”  The seminar will be offered at both 9:30 and 11:00 in Adult 1-3.

WOW!  Plans are in full gear for the new Saturday Night Service which will start September 8!  We are calling it Saturday Nights @ Central (catchy isn’t it ?)  This service is designed for you and your friends who work, travel, or serve on Sunday and are looking for a different kind of worship experience without the Sunday morning schedule hassles.  So get the word out!  Kids programs will be provided from birth-5th grade!

WOW!  This Sunday night we are going to be gathering for another monthly gospel prayer service at 6 pm.  We will be meeting at First Baptist Church in Trenton on  128 Centre Street.  First Baptist is where we saw God do some amazing things during Kids Camp Trenton, and we want to say thank you to our Lord for all He has done.  So come on out and worship and praise and pray with us, for God is doing great things!

See you Sunday!

Pastor Gay

P.S. WOW!  I almost forgot… Congregational Meeting after the 9:30 service to vote in new members. God keeps on adding to this body!  What else can I say but WOW! J
