Central's Pastoral E-Letter: July 6, 2012

Dear Central Family,

The Bus is leaving!

The tour begins this Sunday as we begin an awesome new series for the summer that is definitely going to sizzle!  We have called it our Summer Concert Series as we take a tour through Asia Minor and study together the significant and impactful letters to the 7 Churches of Revelation.  What does Jesus have to say to all of us?  These are real letters written to real people with real issues that we can all relate to.

So the first part of our journey starts this Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00.  John Kennedy, one of our well known LifeGroup leaders who is known for teaching with clarity, will be teaching in the Classic Service and Pastor Gilmer will be teaching in the 9:30 and 11:00 Modern services.  Take a few moments and read Revelation 2:1-7 to acquaint yourself with this powerful letter, then come in your casual summer clothes and begin the tour with us!

A few things coming up that you need to be aware of:

1.       To register for Kids Camp Ewing, you can go to the website www.worshipatcentral.org and click on the link and sign your kids up as we Kick it Old School!  Get the word out!  We are depending on you telling your friends and neighbors as we had to take down our sign that was advertising the Camp out front due to zoning restrictions (many of you have asked).  Thanks for your help!

2.       This Thursday there is going to be a special opportunity for you to hear the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Pastor Jim Cymbala in Concert for FREE!  A special Delaware County Prayer service is going to be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia at 7pm.  More info available at www.acts413.net

3.       We have made online giving easier than ever!  Just go the church website www.worshipatcentral.org, register to be part of our All Church Directory with Fellowship One, and click on the link that says donate online.  I did it for the first time this past week and it is so much easier than before, and with summer travel coming up, this is a great opportunity for you to continue your faithfulness in your stewardship.  Check it out!

Finally, I ask all of you to please pray for the next ten days for the World Changers team of youth and adults who left very early this morning to head for Limestone County, Alabama as they partner with the folks at the Alabama Disaster Relief Organization to do tornado relief work there.  Please pray for safe travel, team unity, safety at the job sites, and for their protection in the extreme heat as they minister to those in need.

Stay cool!  Hope you will be with us this Sunday!

Pastor Gay
