Central's Pastoral E-Letter: June 8, 2012

Dear Central Family,

What a great beginning we had with our new series, The Blessed Life that started last Sunday!  We all learned that we are blessed to bless others, and once again you stepped up as a body to the challenge to be a blessing through our upcoming Free Market on Saturday, June 23You can start to drop off your items to the Church starting this Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm.  So I hope that you will start to bring in your items so that we can start to process them.  I would also encourage you to let your friends and neighbors know, so that they can contribute to this outstanding outreach event.  If you have questions, just pick up a flyer this Sunday in the Welcome Center. We still are looking for servants to help with this outreach event, and you can sign up this Sunday, but come quick as the slots are filling quickly!

Don’t forget to sign up for our special All Church Lunch and Celebration on June 24!  We are calling this “I Love my Church” Sunday!  In all the services we will be hearing stories and testimonies about how God is at work in this congregation and we are going to praise God for what He has done and what He is going to do as we seek to continue to connect people to God, in Community, and to God’s Mission.  We will also be announcing some exciting steps we will be taking in the months ahead to fulfill this God given vision.  So plan to be here on June 24, and use this link to sign up for lunch.  During this lunch we will also be conducting our Annual Business Meeting, where we will elect officers and approve the budget for the new year.  Then we will conclude the day with a Gospel Prayer Service at 6 pm in the Fellowship Mall.  So you can see it is going to be a real day of Celebration and I hope you will be with us!

This week, we will enter Part 2 of what it means to live The Blessed Life.  I will be teaching in the two Modern Services at 9:30 and 11, and Jared Alcántara will be teaching in the Classic Service at 9:30.  We are going to be examining how God’s economy is different from our economy, and when God takes our meager resources, He is then able to do extraordinary things!

Hope to see you Sunday, God is moving, and I want you to be a part of it!

In His Grace,

Pastor Gay
