Dear Central Family,
I hope you were here last Sunday to celebrate all that God is doing in this church!
The baptism service was powerful due to the testimonies that were shared and it was a reminder to all of us how important it is that we stay on task to what our mission is as a church. We are focused on connecting people to God, connecting people in community, and connecting people with God's Mission. It was truly a day to see that in action through both the baptisms of 18 people and the reception of 16 people into membership. God is on the move and we are connecting with him to see His kingdom expand!
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday, as Jared Alcántara will be speaking in the classic worship service at 9:30 and I will be continuing my series on the Song of Solomon at both contemporary services at 9:30 and 11:00. This series, God..Love..Sex, is focused on helping all of us in our dating and marriage relationships. This week we are examining how to Rekindle the Romance. I am excited with what God has put on my heart to share with all of us.
We will also be sending off 31 high school students and leaders for a World Changers Mission Trip in North Carolina. Talk about connecting with God's Mission! I am so proud of everyone who is going on this trip. You will have a chance to sign up to pray for them in all the worship services, and I know it will be a great encouragement to them!
Finally, be sure to encourage your friends and neighbors to sign their kids up at our website worshipatcentral.org for Kids Camp on July 18-22! The sign is up in the front of the church, yard signs will soon be here for you to display, and we have printed 2000 business cards to distribute at the Ewing Fourth of July parade! By the way, we could still use some help with the parade, as we need kids to ride on the back of a truck and people to hand out candy and promo cards. If you can help, please contact Irene at the church office.
Gotta go, but so pumped about what God is doing as we seek to expand His kingdom by connecting with His power!
Pastor Gay
