Dear Central Family,
I hope that you are enjoying your new year with our Lord! We certainly had an awesome time of worship and celebration last Sunday, and Central was overflowing with joy! Between individuals being baptized, new members being received, and commissioning of our newest World Impact Team members Bill and Gina Laky to Spain, we all were rejoicing in what God is doing in our church!
I hope that you are planning on being here this Sunday as we continue our Get Inked Series, and examine Psalm 119:9-16. I hope you will take time to read this section of this powerful psalm as we examine the power to purity! This section is filled with practical words of challenge for all of us, and I am looking forward to what God is going to say to all of us! During the 9:30 service we will also be saying thank you to Andy and Lori Stuckey for their faithful ministry these past years in our Classic Worship Services. We will have a special cake in the Fellowship Mall, so either come to the first service or come early for the second so you can say thank you for a job well done!
I also want to make sure that you are planning on being present next Sunday, January 24, as we will be conducting a full church health survey. We will be investing time in our worship services to hear from you the congregation so we as leaders can evaluate our ministry and seek to fulfill the mission God has given to us. This is your chance to get your voice heard, so please make plans to be here. If for some reason you cannot be here on the 24th, we will have surveys available both online at our website and in person here on the 31st. Thanks for investing the time to help us out.
I know that we are all devastated by the events this past week in Haiti. I have been in touch with the Figaro and Nelson families who have family in Port-au-Prince. When I last connected with them, they have made contact with their parents but are still waiting to hear about extended family. We are planning to take a love offering on January 24 for the Haiti Crisis that will go to our sister mission organization, Open Door, which is ministering in Haiti. Thank you for all your heartfelt love, concern, and prayers.
That’s it for now! Got to get back to my studies. I am looking forward to sharing what God has been saying to me through His Word as we allow Scripture to imprint itself on our hearts!
See you Sunday!
Pastor
