CBC Pastoral E-Letter: May 28, 2009

 

Dear Central Family,

 

It’s time to Celebrate! 

 

To Celebrate God’s faithfulness to His word to provide for all of our needs! 

 

To Celebrate His provision of such a magnificent facility to impact this community! 

 

To Celebrate how God has worked through so many of you and your faithful sacrificial giving to make this dream a reality! 

 

To Celebrate how lives are going to be changed for eternity because of what God has done through your participation! 

 

I think you get the drift of what I am feeling!  Sunday is going to be a day of Celebration starting with each of our two Sunday morning Worship Services at 9:30 and 11:15 when we celebrate what happens when people live a life outside of their comfort zone and how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. 

 

You will also get a chance to meet the awesome team of leaders that God has put together to lead our VBS outreach this summer.  Starting this Sunday, you can stop by the VBS table at the “Central Park” childcare area to register your child or to volunteer.  For more information, go to www.cbcnj.org.

 

We will then cap everything off with a big party on Sunday night at 7 pm!  We will worship with all our hearts to thank God for this new chapter we are beginning.  We will have many community dignitaries here including Mayor Jack Ball and State Senator Shirley Turner as well as many area pastors to help us begin this new journey.  With the majesty of our new organ and the exhilaration of our praise band, you will worship as we celebrate what an awesome God we have!  Then we will finish with a wonderful time of fellowship at a reception in Allen Hall.  Bring your family—you don’t want to miss this historic event!  (Nursery will be provided for the little ones.) 

 

Also, don’t forget that on Saturday, May 30, we will have a Community Open House from 10 am to 12 noon.  Feel free to invite a neighbor to come with you so that they can see our new facility.  A continental breakfast will be provided and goody bags will be given out to children.   

 

So invite your friends and relatives and come and join us as we say, “THANK YOU GOD for all you have done!  You are so awesome and we are humbled by your provision!”

CBC Pastoral E-Letter: May 21, 2009

 

Dear CBC Family,

 

     What can I say about this past Sunday and our grand opening but THANK YOU, JESUS!  What an awesome time we had in flinging the doors wide open to invite people in to see what God has done for us. 

 

     I loved watching the expressions of so many people as they walked into the Fellowship Mall for the first time!  It was such a sight!  The entire day—from the ribbon cutting to the Sunday evening 6 pm service—was a huge blessing.  What a privilege to say that God has entrusted this facility into our hands for His glory so that we can reach this community for Him. 

 

     And guess what?  We get to do it all over again this Sunday!  We will meet once again for worship at 9:30 am, 11:15 am, and 6 pm.  I hope that you will be with us in the morning as we examine what true new beginnings look like in our lives, and in the evening as we continue our study in the book of Colossians and learn whether Christ should be in first place in our lives. 

 

     I also want to remind you that we have some special events coming up to continue the celebration!  On Saturday, May 30, we will have a Community Open House from 10 am to 12 noon.  Feel free to invite a neighbor to come with you so that they can see our new facility.  Then on Sunday, May 31 at 7 pm, we will have our official dedication service and reception to dedicate ourselves and this new facility to our Lord!  We have invited many special guests and community dignitaries, and I hope you will be with us as well.

CBC Pastoral E-Letter: May 7, 2009

 

Dear Central Family,

 

One more week! (Lord willing!)

 

We are literally down to the last week before we are scheduled to enter our new facilities that God is putting in our care!  The excitement is high, the work load is heavy, and the prayers are constant that we will see the vision of our new facility become a reality that we can all enjoy. 

 

Just a few reminders:

 

1. This Sunday is our last Sunday with our current worship schedule:

8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 Contemporary Worship in Allen Hall

9:45        Classic Worship in Allen Hall

 

2. I invite you to join us next Wednesday, May 13 at 7 pm as we pray together as a church for God’s hand of blessing on our ministry and outreach efforts.  Nursery will be provided. 

 

3. On Saturday, May 16 at 9:45 am, come and help us step out and let our neighbors know of an open house being held in their honor on May 30.  Dress casually, put on your good walking shoes, and be prepared for a fun morning!

 

4. Sunday, May 17 is MOVE OUT DAY!
