Greetings all--

my favorite time is sitting quietly with my Master and listening...being still; in fact, I thirst for my quiet time before the Lord.

This for me is a time when God allows me to experience just how "unlike any other" He is. Being in His presence in this way is indescribible, for it is then when the "overwhelming noise" of my day, my circumstances, my life, my challenges, my struggles, my hardships,my broken-heartedness, my grieved spirit, my confusion, my anger, my disappointments, my shortcomings, and oh let's NOT forget my sin are silenced...

"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD"

Then all the "noise" is replaced with vision, instruction, peace, calmness, encouragement, joy, direction, security, hope, my Master's love and forgiveness; forgiveness that flowed from Calvery's cross. Then I usually spend time interceding about the things He revealed while I sat and listened.

Pastor, I've been enjoying worship.net for some time; however, I catch it on television every now and then and they play the old hymns and some contemporary but it is all instrumental and they always have Scripture along with beautiful scenes of His creation. I use this as a worship time.

I encourage us to all take time to "be still"; it is vital for spiritual well-being and God LOVES to spend time with us...especially when we come to Him because we just want to sit with Him, NOT because we just got bad news or something.

May we deeply consider just who He is...

Sister MaryElla--

PRAISE THE LORD!! Your exclamation is; "How GREAT is our God!" well Sister (and all fellow 'bloggers') I don't think there are words sufficient enough to answer that question. It was good to see you Sunday, I had hoped to get a hug ;). Don't you worry, I'll get cha' when you're not lookin'

In considering how 'GREAT' God is well, I think you and I are certainly proof positive of just how great our God is...

You're surgery and my accident.

Yeah my Sister, He is GREAT and that's just for starters!

Watch your back 'cause I'm comin' for my hug!!

lovin' my Jesus,

Libby
