I am glad to know of the successful meeting you had and you are right in saying that the Lord has really put together excellent individuals to lead the church as well as the 'sub-leadership' which is where my involvment or niche at CBC falls.
After meeting with Pastor Gilmer and discussing a proposal for a new ministry, the Lord has given CBC the Serving Hearts Ministry of service and evangelism. I say that to say this: I know what you mean about the value of teamwork, the Lord has blessed this ministry with two women that I have come love, love serving with, praying with, brain storming with, growing with, joking with, learning with and serving the Lord with, and ooooh the JOY AND LAUGHTER we have together!! But when comes to the Lords business together we are on point and the great thing is that we acknowlege that none of it is our doing...NONE!!. We have accomplished much because of our love for the church and for the Lord Jesus. We, like Jesus, wish to seek what was lost and take them to our Lord that they may be saved (Luke 19:10). I have watched the Lord transform them in an instant, from "Well I can't do..." to doing things in a supernatural, gifted by the Holy Spirit, empowered by the same kind of way for which the only explanation is;
GOD GIVEN ABILITY IN FULL USE!
As the ministry director for a new ministry all I can say is that I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do next; first...to us (He has been really transforming us and I believe I can speak for myself and them in saying..LUVIN' IT!!:) and what He is going to do thru us ( I can't help but recall the recent and powerful prayer session for healing that was answered in full...CANCER GONE!)
I know His favor is upon us and I pray that He be glorified by the CBC family.
I thank God for the privilege of serving as a leader at CBC and for the two Godly women He has provided to move Serving Hearts forward as we work parallel to each other.
Father God, I do thank you for the privilege of serving you with such great leaders at CBC. Thank-you for answering my prayer for help with the Serving Hearts ministry and sending Toni and Vicky into my life. Simply put Lord...we have a BLAST! May you be glorified by your Leaders and Leadership teams at CBC, in Jesus' name...
AMEN!
