Welcome Back

It has been too long since I have blogged, and I am going to get back in the saddle. what a wonderful day of worship we had today as the Lord allowed us to celebrate what He did this past week at VBS! What a joy to see all the parents of those precious children present at 11 service and did we rock! Way to go team and way to go kids! it was so exciting to be able to share how children, teens, and Romanians entered the kingdom the past couple of weeks. I am so amazed how God desires to use us to accomplish his purpose, and I am even more amazed that He choses to use a lump of clay like me and His church at CBC. Praise God. what an awesome God we serve

Pastor Gay--

WELCOME BACK!! YOU'VE BEEN MISSED!!

PRAISE OUR LORD!! What privilege and blessing we were granted this week.

I had the pleasure of ministering to women from Homefront as well as former Homefront women as the Ministry Director of Serving Hearts; a ministry of service and evangelism.

On Thursday after the dramatic "Come to Jesus" presentation, I watched as one of the former Homefront children began to sob uncontrollaby, when his mother asked him what was wrong he replied, "I know Jesus loves me and I love him". He is only six years of age and I have a feeling we will soon see him experience the believer's baptism! HALLELUJAH!!

Hey, I'm not finished...

His mother responded on the response card in the worship folder that she is interested in joining the church! HALLELUJAH!

NOT FINISHED PEOPLES...

I had the privilige of serving these women and sharing the gospel 'tis true BUT the Lord God showed favor on me by sending the help of 2 of our Deacons and their wives to assist me taking a huge load off of me!! THANK'S LORD and thanks to the Berards and the Lucas'

NO...NOT YET FINISHED

I experienced the Holy Spirit take "my" lesson plan with notes, commentaries, testimony that I planned on using and prepared, was prayed up for and completely set it aside as He led the group into a very serious discussion about the person of the Holy Spirit. As the truth about Him was preached there was clear evidence that our 'students' had been misled about who the Holy
Spirit is and the purpose of water baptism. It was GREAT...I'm a-hoopin and hollerin' GREAT to be challenged and used by God this way!!

NOPE!...NOT FINISHED YET....

I had the joy of learning of a sister who was hurting and being freely and openly permitted to take her hand and along with another sister and pray for her right in the parking lot!

Father,thank-you as we are a privileged people; may we never take for granted the freedom we have to openly worship...

ONE MORE THING FOLKS...

The very BEST experience,(and you can see I was blessed w/ many) was the manner in which God strengthened the Serving Hearts Ministry. All week long, the transportation team was streeeetched beyond what is humanly possible to endure; the Bible says with God all things are possible...we were allowed to experience this first hand and as a result we underwent true biblical transformation. IT WAS HARD TOO; but we knew;

I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength. Phil 4:13

Sometimes, a midnight email would show that we cound not pick all of the ladies up the next day; in faith we would pray in agreement and present to God, "Lord, this is not an option because YOU told us to get the women and children and bring them to VBS, so we ask that you bless our faith and obedience."

Well, come morning or noon, here was our Jehovah Jireh providing "a ram in the bush". I have a deeper love and respect for my sisters because of the fellowship between us and i believe God has answered a HUGE prayer request for help with Serving Hearts in a particular area so that i can move the team forward. I believe He has answered.

To all who may be reading, I present an old favorite hymn--

TRUST AND OBEY FOR THERE'S NO OTHER WAY

TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS BUT TO TRUST AND OBEY...

Father may you plant the truth that the hymn writer knew in our hearts to have faith and obey...your word says, without faith it is impossible to please God. Help us to be obedient children who please their God.

Standing on the cross...AMEN!

Libby
