Random Weekend Thoughts

It is Sunday Morning and I am pumped! Cant wait to preach this message about the rewards waiting for the follower of Christ
Cant wait for the congregational meeting to vote on calling Anthony for Pastor of Spiritual Development. The response has been so encouraging!
Cant wait for growth group tonite, love these folks
Cant wait to thank God for the healing power He displayed for a woman in our church who had major back surgery this past week
Cant wait to see what God is going to do
On another front, had a great Saturday, working in the yard, powerwashing the house, and sprucing things up. This morning sore and tight, but feels good to know I did the right thing!
Felt like summer, went to Ritas for water ice with the family, have to love the northeast... Never got water ice in Texas
Gonna be a good day

HAPPY LORD'S DAY TO ALL OF GOD'S PEOPLE...

Psalm 118:24 reads...

24 This is the day the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Pastor--

this is a day I feel that we will all be pumped...I had a great day yesterday just enjoying being with Mom and the cats. It was nice to be out in the sun for a bit and then come home and sit and watch a really good movie with Mom.

This is going to be a "defining" day for CBC and I am glad to be a part in today's vote for Pastor Gilmer! I haven't heard anything except, HALLELUJAHS and PRAISE YOU LORDIES in regard to Pastor Gilmer coming to CBC.

He is going to be that "CLICK" you hear when something is secured like a door, or a lock...even the seal of Tupperware indicating that the seal is tight and sure and so, what's inside is not only secure but safe from spoiling and decay...it's sealed!

I have been so excited as I am being restored and continue to heal...I love to hear about my rewards!!! I can't wait to present them to the Lord and ya know what...I am glad to know that the yucky stuff will burn up!!

I pray that we at CBC will continue to run the race as to recieve the crown...I got my runnin' shoes on...ON YOUR MARK...SET.........

May we run the GOOD RACE at CBC

God Bless us all...

Shalom everybody--

Pastor Gay,

I have a question for you regarding your sermon yesterday; by the way as I waited around for the congregational meeting and interacted with several folks, EVERYONE I spoke with LOVED the sermon and so did I...my question..

I am not clear on when the reward is given; mom and I really enjoyed sitting and discussing the sermon over a nice brunch...it was a nice peaceful "I've been to church" afternoon. The only disruption was this black cat I have who insisted that I fixed this wonderful brunch for HER ;)!!!

Pastor, I thought I learned in the Facing Forever class that we were judged when we died; but I thought I heard you say today that we were judged at the Rapture.

So as mom and I fellowshipped together on this; (by the way sooo nice to spend time with her Pastor and discussing the Bible!! It was long overdue) anyway we used Sara as a focus point if you will, so...

Has Sara been judged?
Has she been judged, but not yet rewarded?
Has she been just found in the book of life awaiting the judgement and reward?

Next question; I have heard many people reference Hebrews 9:27 to indicate that there is no purgatory, no "holding tank"; if we are not judged until the rapture then is Hebrews 9:27 explained by verse 28?...

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

the second appearing mentioned here; is this His appearance to His OWN, meaning US whether out of the body, like Sara, or in the body like us?.

Man...I love studying the Bible and can't wait to take the prayer class. I hope we have room for everybody!!

Sure appreciate your help and I look forward to sharing your response with Mom regarding Sara, I hope this makes sense to you.

May we live our lives with a deep rooted understanding that Christ is coming soon...ARE WE READY???

Libby,

I'm so glad you asked these questions, because I have also wondered this, not just from Sunday's sermon, but for quite some time now. I just couldn't seem to find the right words to express the questions, but you did it beautifully. Thank you.

Pastor, I look forward to your answer as well. :0)

Peace,
Pam
